Candace Chatman
(Producer) is a talented production manager whose 24 years of
experience demonstrate an incredible ability to get the job done with
style, on time and on budget.
She began her career in the New York motion picture division of Paramount Studios as a publicist during the exciting Eisner, Katzenberg, and Diller era. Candace was responsible for producing events surrounding their hottest releases including; Raiders of the Lost Ark, Top Gun, Terms of Endearment, Flashdance, Witness, Officer and a Gentleman, Beverly Hills Cop and 48 Hours. She also managed the booking of their stars on press junkets, national radio and TV shows including; Saturday Night Live, Good Morning America and the Today Show.
Candace later joined the entertainment imaging division of Kodak in Hollywood. As a production executive, she quickly established herself as a tenacious manager who could be counted on to get the job done. She’s received extensive training and experience in the technical side of production and how the right film stock can support a director’s vision for a project. Candace is technically proficient at managing all aspects of the post production process from lab to print, including the latest digital intermediate processes.
She’s been assigned some of the most difficult studio and TV production companies and won them over with her exceptional interpersonal skills. Her skill and determination was further evidenced by leading Kodak’s most successful worldwide product launch of their new Vision II film stock.
Candace was responsible for establishing Kodak’s independent film festival presence including Sundance and Outfest for the last 10 years. She’s worked closely on projects with Oscar winning Director’s of Photography including: Dean Semler, John Toll and other members the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).
Candace is a Member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) and participates on the Boards of the International Documentary Association (IDA) and Inner City Filmmakers. She earned a degree in Communications from Cal Poly Pomona.
